Nike SB Dunk High “Paul Rodriguez”

To mark Paul Rodriguez's 15th anniversary of being Nike SB rider, the Swoosh brand is saluting the OG with a new collaboration. Inspired by Raul's Mexican heritage and love of boxing, the triumphal design presents P-Rod as a championship fighter.

Inspiration is immediately evident on this Dunk upper, which equips its crisp white leather construction with vivid red trim and alternating lateral Swooshes: green on the left shoe, red on the right. While the outer-facing Swooshes are colorful, the medial iterations are left tonal. Gold lace deubres are shaped to represent a championship belt, and feature a “World Champion” text graphic encircling am “R” in the center, while “XV” and “SB” flank each side.

Black tongue badges show Rodriguez’s name in bold gold thread, with a slight curve in a classic boxing marquee style that’s often found on a fighter’s trunks. The Zoom Air-equipped insoles show a photo of P-Rod’s wrapped fists and are stamped with a gold foil Nike SB hit. A white midsole and Mexican flag-esque red, white and green outsole completes the stylings, presenting a look that would make former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. proud.
