norda x FRAME RUN CLUB Trail Run
Trail Running at Rainbow Valley
A morning built around trails, real product testing, and the equipment designed to go further.
Hosted by FRAME RUN CLUB
Wear-Test Session by norda
On January 17, FRAME RUN CLUB travelled to Rainbow Valley in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, for a community trail run in partnership with norda, bringing together trail runners for a morning dedicated to movement, technical terrain, and real-world product testing.
Unlike a road run, the trail constantly changes beneath your feet.
Loose rock.
Steep climbs.
Uneven descents.
Changing grip.
Changing rhythm.
It was the perfect environment to experience footwear built specifically for technical mountain terrain.
RUN WHERE IT MATTERS
The objective of the morning was simple.
Test equipment where it actually belongs.
Rather than introducing footwear inside a retail environment, norda brought its trail running collection directly onto the mountain.
Participants had the opportunity to experience three of the brand’s most recognised models:
norda 001
norda 001A
norda 005
Each model was available in limited quantities through the norda Wear-Test Station, allowing runners to understand how the shoes responded across climbs, rocky surfaces, technical descents, and changing terrain throughout Rainbow Valley.
Trail footwear should not be judged on a showroom floor.
It should be understood through the trail itself.
LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCE
Before heading onto the course, professional trail runner Karis Miriam led a short trail running session, sharing practical advice on pacing, movement, climbing technique, descending efficiently, and reading technical terrain.
The session wasn’t presented as a formal clinic.
It was a conversation between experienced trail runners and a growing trail community, helping participants feel more confident before stepping onto the mountain.
Education has become an important part of FRAME RUN CLUB.
Every session is an opportunity not only to run, but to understand running more deeply.
INTO THE MOUNTAINS
With the briefing complete, runners began making their way through Rainbow Valley.
The terrain constantly shifted.
Rock gardens became flowing singletrack.
Steep climbs gave way to fast descents.
Grip changed from one section to the next.
Unlike road running, every step required attention.
The mountains asked runners to adapt continuously.
This changing landscape also allowed participants to experience the differences between the norda 001, 001A, and 005 in the environment they were designed for.
The shoes became part of the experience rather than the focus of it.
The trail remained the main character.
BUILT TO BE USED
One of the highlights of the morning was the exclusive FRAME × norda Dyneema® Race Bag.
Created as a limited collaboration between FRAME and norda, the race bag reflected the same philosophy shared by both brands: lightweight performance, functional design, and equipment built for real use.
Rather than producing merchandise for the sake of memorabilia, the Dyneema® Race Bag was designed as technical equipment that runners could continue using long after the event.
Its lightweight construction, durability, and weather resistance made it equally suited for race day, mountain training, and everyday adventure.
The collaboration represented more than a giveaway.
It became a lasting reminder of the morning shared on the trails.
REWARDS FOR THE COMMUNITY
Registered participants also received a selection of limited norda running products on a first-come, first-served basis.
The reward package included:
- FRAME × norda Dyneema® Race Bag
- norda Performance T-Shirt
- norda Running Socks
- norda Soft Flask
Together, the collection reflected norda’s approach to trail running—functional equipment designed to perform in demanding environments.
Every item was created to be used, not stored.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF COMMUNITY RUN
Trail running changes the relationship between runners.
The mountain naturally spreads the group apart.
Conversations become quieter.
Footsteps become slower.
Attention shifts from pace to footing.
Yet everyone remains connected through the same route and the same experience.
FRAME RUN CLUB’s trail sessions aren’t built around finishing times.
They’re built around exploration.
The trail asks runners to be patient, adaptable, and present.
That is why returning to the mountains continues to be an important part of the club’s calendar.
KEEP EXPLORING
The January 17 Trail Run demonstrated how equipment, education, and community can come together in the right environment.
norda provided the footwear.
Karis Miriam shared experience.
FRAME RUN CLUB created the route and the community.
The mountains did the rest.
Some mornings are measured by pace.
Others are measured by what they teach.
The trail always offers both.
