NASIR NASRALLAH
Nasir Nasrallah (@nasirnasrallah), an Emirati artist born in Sharjah, founded "Marsam Al Sahel" studio in 2019, a haven for artists to explore and debate art. The author of "Creatures of Everyday Objects" and "The Story Converter" actively participates in illustration and children's literature, judging competitions such as the Etisalat Children's Book Award. In this project, Nasrallah paints a tribute to UAE's nature. The cover design features a symbolic palm tree, reflecting the concept that art and culture germinate from nature's fertile ground.

Drawing from UAE's cultural heritage, we take inspiration from Gargoor, a basket trap traditionally crafted from wire or woven date palm fronds. This packaging is symbolic of our dedication to cultural sustainability. Complementing this, our packaging, nested within the Gargoor, is made from 100% recycled paper, exemplifying our commitment to environmental stewardship and reflecting our respect for the UAE's rich heritage.

Embracing the UAE's rich natural resources, the Al Ghadeer Emirati Crafts Project employs indigenous plants and minerals to create an extraordinary material. Craftswomen, at the heart of this project, use time-honored dyeing techniques to extract vibrant hues, all without using harmful chemicals. With each batch of fabric absorbing dye differently, the result is a beautiful array of unique patterns and tones. This not only accentuates the beauty of natural variation but also highlights the handiwork and skills of the artisans. This approach not only underscores a commitment to sustainability but also plays a crucial role in preserving Emirati culture. More importantly, it supports and empowers local women, providing them an avenue to showcase their skills and contribute to their community.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION
1. The workshop is offered free of charge.
2. Participation is limited due to space constraints. Admittance will be granted on a first-come, first-served
basis OR RSVP to attend the event.
3. Handmade T-shirts crafted during the workshop will not be available for immediate take-home due to the
drying time required.
4. Participants can retrieve their handmade T-shirts from the FRAME store later, which will be communicated
during the workshop.
