Nike SB "POETS" Zoom Bruins

Long Island-based brand POETS founded by skate legend Gino Iannucci, starting 2020 with the second Nike SB collaboration. After ten years of the first collaboration of "Lighthouse" Blazer Hi, this time it's a reworked version of the ‘70s favorite the Zoom Bruins. The shoe presented in premium yet straightforward look as complementation for POET’s ethos of: “quality, curation, and subtle inspiration.”

Sleek and smooth black nubuck is used on the slim uppers, with white laces, a white tongue tag, and an embroidered white Poets hit on the heel, providing contrast. Exposed foam tongues proffer retro flair as well, but the shoe’s signature design detail arrives via a low-slung bright green Swoosh that swoops down onto the midsole. This element of the design is already becoming a familiar modern twist to iconic swoosh that originated from Virgil Abloh’s touch on Blazer for his “The Ten” collaboration
